Final Recap
Practice 1: The first project consisted in creating a poster where we compared the education of Spain with the education of England. In this poster we put some graphs where it showed the differences with pictures. The objective of this practice was learn about highly-ranked school systems around the world, acquire new vocabulary, explain the school system and show our poster to the rest of the class.
Practice 2: This project was The Story Of Michael, a short story about a boy who after joining a new school was discriminated against. For this we worked with new ICT programs to create an online book, which at first was complicated as we had already written the story and had to match the premade images with our tale. The project was fun and creative, and taught us many values.
Practice 3: In this practice we had to make a questionnaire dealing with multilingualism, as this issue is affecting education today. The survey that was passed on to all the people we have been able to contact, both family and friends, is a survey that has helped us reflect on the issue and has helped us to have a clear idea about what people think about this topic and how can influence the school. The questions we have asked are very clear and concrete, since not all people have heard of plurilingualism, but in spite of everything, it has been a very good practice that has made many things clear to us, such as the opinion of people on this topic.
Practice 4: We made a project where we had to do two activities using flash cards. We have chosen the theme of the human senses. Some of the activities have also made a mind map which would serve as a basis for the activities.
The activities are for 4th grade and de subject that we have work are Natural Sciencies. The flash cards have been created with GoConqr.
The first activity is called " True or false?" and the second activity, "Match de cards".
Activity 1 consists:
-Place a rope, some tape or draw a line on the floor with chalk.
-The children stand in the center of the classroom, two objects in the class are designated -The Truth and Lies.
-The teacher shows the flashcards and reads out a possible answer, the children have to run to the object that represents the answer being true or false.
Activity 2 consists:
-Make a table on the board of the five senses.
-The flashcards are divided into two sections, images and text.
-The children have to match the flashcard with it’s corresponding partner and place them on the board.
This project has seemed very interesting because in our future as teachers the activities would serve us to realize them with our students.
Practice 5: In this practice we have made a journey in time to analyze the changes that our schools have undergone since we began our studies until the present time.
Jessica, Nieves, Javier and Miguel, show us, the changes that have ocurred in their schools through different images acoompanied by an interesting explanation.
James shows us the changes in his schools throubh a video where he explains and draws those changes.
And Jaime shows us with a video, that his school no longer exists and is now a museum.
